Through years of training experience in the restaurant, resort and hotel industry, Jim Arenovski has designed and implemented numerous customer service training and development tools. It began initially through his employment with the Sheraton Corporation, where he developed standards for guest service and engagement for both transient and local guests alike. Upon moving to Micronesia in 1997 with Inter-Pacific Corporation, the owners of Pacific Island Club, Arenovski designed the service model for the Pacific Island Club Guam and Saipan that laid the foundation for its successful customer engagement it is so well known for. Arenovski then took his skills to Shell North Pacific where he designed and implemented customer service and safety training for Shell retail sites on Guam, Saipan, and Palau.
Arenovski transitioned from working for the Shell Corporation to operating independently as a retail site operator for Shell with his company, Delta Management Corporation (DMC). DMC operated the largest network of Shell sites in Micronesia with four sites in Guam and four more in Saipan. Arenovski designed a program for his Delta sites that was so effective, Shell North Pacific adopted many of the techniques and hired Arenovski to train the other Shell retail operators to improve the training and deliver the highest level of service consistent for all Shell retail sites.
This all led to the formation of Island Training Solutions (ITS). ITS has conducted training for dozens of businesses, government agencies and NGO’s. These include IT&E, IP&E, Mariana Resort, Saipan World Resort, Commonwealth Utilities Corporation, Gold’s Gym, Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation, Nutrition Assistance Program, Marianas Eye Center, Coastal Resources Management, U.S. District Court, NMI Judiciary, Marianas Trekking, Kanoa Resort, Kagman Community Health Center and The Humanities Council, to name a few. ITS has travelled to Palau to train on numerous occasions for the Small Business Development Center and to Guam for a number of clients, including IP&E, IT&E and Skydive Guam.
ITS offers its clients a variety of compliance and development courses which are customized to each company to help its staff improve their effectiveness in the workplace. ITS has been fortunate to be selected to implement and execute a number of different contracts/projects for various local and Federal agencies.
