10 and 30 Hour General Industry Outreach Training

  • 10 Hour – (Two days) For entry level employees. 
  • Insures staff has a basic understanding of OSHA and its basic requirements, including Introduction to OSHA, Hazard Communications, PPE, Electrical, Emergency Action Plans, Fire Protection, Walking Surfaces and Fall Protection.  Whether in the field, warehouse or office, basic safety knowledge is key to an injury free workplace. 


30 Hour – (5 days) For supervisors and staff responsible for managing safety.

  • The OSHA Outreach Training Program provides training for workers and employers on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces. Provides staff with a comprehensive overview of key safety standards commonly exposed to those in business.   OSHA 30 Hour Outreach card and ITS certificate for successful passing of course. Safety Education helps minimize lost time injuries, insurance claims and absenteeism.


Office Safety

  •  Includes site safety inspection - 2.0  hours
  • Discussion on the how to identify potential hazards in the office environment. 
  • Review of top causes of injuries in the office.
  • Hazard Communications and Fire Extinguisher use are included in this training.
  • OSHA standards referenced for fire safety, electrical, egress, and emergency evacuation.


General Industry Safety

  •  Includes site safety inspection – 2.5  hours
  • Discussion on the how to identify potential hazards in the work place. 
  • Review of top causes of injuries in the office.
  • Hazard Communications and Fire Extinguisher use are covered in the training.
  • OSHA standards referenced for fire safety, electrical, egress, emergency evacuation.


Driver Safety

  •  2.0 hours  - For sales representatives, delivery staff and casual drivers on company time.
  • This course teaches the basic standards of driver safety and defensive driving for those driving your vehicles or those representing your company in their own personal vehicles. 
  • Includes pre-route vehicle checklist and basic safety briefings for drivers.


Fire Extinguisher Training

  • 2 Hours
  • Staff will learn the various types of fire extinguishers and their specific use, as well as how to properly approach and extinguish a fire outdoors and inside a building. 
  • This course will have live fire use in a controlled environment.  Participants will experience how to extinguish a live fire.


Emergency Preparedness

  •  2 hours
  • Make sure your business is ready, and that your employees are prepared for when a disaster hits.
  • Solutions to specific disasters and how to prepare your building and equipment so you are ready and able to open soon after. 
  • Provides business and staff checklists and guides for the business and home.
  • Includes discussion of staff home planning, preparation and emergency kit, to insure they are able to come back to work soon after the disaster.


Basic Food Handling Safety

  •  1.5 hours
  • The weakest link in any food operation is the preparation and storage.  Failure to train staff regularly sets the stage for food borne illness, which in turn can cost the company in lost sales or worse.
  • This class provides specific details on time/temperature, personal hygiene, cross contamination, food storing and food receiving.


Equal Employment Opportunity Compliance:  An Introduction              

  •  2 hours
  • Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, staff pregnancy, interview do’s and don’ts are among the many topics covered.
  • Make sure you and your staff have the basic information to ensure you do not make an employment decision that could lead to litigation.


Discrimination Prevention

  •  2 hours - This is highly recommended as an annual training
  • Prevent discrimination litigation by having your staff and management understand that all things are equal in the workplace.  Many cultural and generational differences have led to problems in the workplace.
  • This class brings to light real life examples of discrimination and how to avoid similar pitfalls. 
  • Discussion on cultural and generational differences, including the perception and reality of diversity in the workplace. 
  • Discussion on providing a documented path for the employee to follow to report discrimination in your business in a retaliation free environment.
  • May be combined with Sexual Harassment Prevention

Sexual Harassment Prevention

  •  2 hours This is highly recommended as an annual training
  • Prevent embarrassing Sexual Harassment claims by insuring all staff is fully aware that your workplace is no place for sexual harassment. 
  • Discusses the many forms that can be considered sexual harassment and how to ensure they do not exist in your workplace. 
  • Also discusses providing a documented path to report sexual harassment without fear of retaliation.
  • Can be taught with Discrimination Prevention

Armed Robbery Prevention

  •  2 hours
  • Teach your staff the proven techniques to maximize their safety during an armed robbery. 
  • Class discusses items and actions that can prevent and decrease the likelihood of your business becoming the victim of an armed robbery.  


Preventing Violence in the Workplace

  •  2 hours
  • Jealous spouses, domestic disturbances, troubled employees or disciplinary issues--these problems can work their way into your business. 
  • This course teaches how to observe and report staff that might be having problems.
  • Class helps management and staff identify actions and words by workers that could be the precursor for trouble.
  • Learn how to best conduct an employee disciplinary meeting or termination.


Applicant screening and Interviewing

  • Time is Negotiable
